The 8th Annual Clarksville Family Fun Fest & the Clarksville History Scavenger Hunt Happening in May

We’re excited because we’ve got two really fun events coming up in May.

The first event is the CCDC's 8th annual Family Fun Fest, which will take place from 1-5 on Sunday, May 15th. We are excited to announce that there will be some changes to this year's Fest that we think you will enjoy: a new pony ride company; a new photo booth that will generate GIFs that you can download immediately to your social media sites or to your email address; a new clown, who will also provide entertainment during the last hour of the Fest (He used to work for Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus and was voted "Favorite Kids Entertainer" by readers of Austin Family Magazine). There will also be some new food options as well as RuthAnn Brown’s famous barbeque.

The other event, the Clarksville History Scavenger Hunt, will occur on Saturday morning May 21. It will be hosted by the CCDC and Preservation Austin. The Hunt will be a fun way for kids (and their parents) to learn about the fascinating history of Clarksville, participate in fun activities, and maybe even win a cool prize.

We will be distributing fliers about both events door-to-door in Clarksville residents, posting info on neighborhood list serves and emailing people closer to the dates. However, we encourage you to get both on your calendars now and to stay tuned for more information.

Oh, one more thing. We need volunteers to help at both events. So if you want to help out at either or both, get in touch by emailing clarksvilleweb@gmail.com. Even an hour or two of your time will be a big help to us.
