The Tee-shirt RuthAnn Brown Envisioned is Now Available!

Before her death, RuthAnn Brown, who was devoted to Clarksville and to her church, was working with Aubrey Carter, a long-time neighborhood resident and CCDC board member, on the design of a tee-shirt that she planned to have ready for her 2nd annual Funk Fest.

RuthAnn envisioned the tee-shirt's main image as a tree, whose roots were Clarksville's founding families and whose upper truck and branches were filled with the names of other families and people important to Clarksville over the years. And, because the early history of Clarksville and Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church are inextricably linked, she and Aubrey decided to portray the parishioners of the church as leaf clouds.

Aubrey recently completed the design and had some tee-shirts printed. They are now available for sale. The small and medium tees cost $12.00 and the large and extra large sell for $15.00. Aubrey plans on getting some tee-shirts for children printed soon and once they are ready, I will let you know.
