On May 7th from 1:00 - 5:00, the Clarksville Community Development Corporation will host its 9th Annual Family Fun Fest at the Pauline Brown Clarksville Neighborhood Center, 1807 West 11th Street.
There will be lots of fun activities for kids including pony rides, a petting zoo, a photo booth, face painting, a balloon clown, face painting, a visit from the Austin Fire Department, as well as good food and live music all afternoon.
From 1:00 - 4:15, there will also be a silent auction. It will feature items like gift cards from Lake Travis Zip-Line Adventures, a ride along with the Austin police chief, a gift certificate to Champions Westlake, a tour of the APD forensics lab, seats on The Pub Crawler as well as lots of items and gift certificates from local shops and restaurants.
All activities at the Fest have been fully underwritten by area businesses as well as by Grande Communications.
The Fun Fest is the CCDC's major annual fundraiser. All money raised at the event will be used to help support our affordable housing program in Clarksville, which provides low cost housing to 16 families.
The CCDC has completed construction of a new affordable home at 1817B West 10th Street, and it's hosting an Open House from 5 to 7 on Wednesday April 19th. (House actually faces Theresa Avenue.) Come see what we did. I think you will be impressed. (Landscaping to come.)
