The Clarksville Community Development Corporation Invites You to Visit the Hezikiah Haskell House on Austin Museum Day, Sunday, September 21
It's almost time for Austin Museum Day, and once again, the Hezikiah Haskell House (1705 Waterston Avenue ) will be part of this fun, city-wide event. Activities at the House on Austin Museum Day will run from 1-4.
The Hezikiah Haskell House, which was built around 1875 by a formerly enslaved man, represents the kind of home that other formerly enslaved people built in the early days of Clarksville, a former Texas Freedom Colony that was established in 1871. Docents will be on hand to tell you about the House, the people who lived there, and the history of Clarksville.
There will also be fun activities for kids and their parents; light refreshments; a raffle for GCs from Clarksville-area restaurants; and lots of Clarksville/Haskell House swag.
And don't miss Soul Man Sam and his band at 2!!!!! They are amazing.
Big thanks to Astound Broadband for underwriting activities at the House on Austin Museum Day.
