Events At the Haskell House in 2026

August 16. 1-3 .CCDC’s Annual Ice Cream Social. Bring your homemade ice cream and enter it in the CCDC’s ice cream competition for the chance to become Clarksville’s new King or Queen of Ice Cream. For information about how to enter the competition, go to the Blog page on this website.

Sunday, September 20, 1-4. Learn about the fascinating history of historic Clarksville and the Haskell House from a docent. Groove to the soul and R & B music of Soul Man Sam from 2-3. Visit with representatives of organizations in Austin working to preserve and promote Austin’s Black history. Enjoy free snacks. Play yard games. Learn about the CCDC, the oldest community development corporation in the City of Austin.

The Haskell House Will Be Open to Visitors on the following dates, 1-4 p.m.
